The Flagstaff EAA was thrilled and honored to have EV Jerry and his plug-in hybrid car "the Spirit of DC" visit on Sunday 2/22. Jerry patiently explained the workings of the plug hybrid Prius to all of us who had never seen one before. On Saturday 2/21 Jerry joined us, Ward Davis and his wife Bracken for dinner.

Today we could be using lead-acid EVs, lead-carbon-acid EVs, or nickel metal hydride or lithium-ion hybrids. Glad to see the variety & availability of electic commuter cars (vs hybrids & PHEV) is rising. Lastly, hybrids & plug-in hybrids are an unfortunate diversion. market b y the end of 2009.
