O utside the podium, in #5 we have the three times winner (2018, '19 & '20) BMW i3, that is also a popular EV in a number of neighboring countries, like Costa Rica, but this year it has seen its sales fall off a cliff, down by two thirds, allowing its French rival Renault Zoe to surpass it and occupy the 4th spot.

At the start of 2023, PHEV subsidies were phased out, resulting in lower PHEV sales compared to 2022, and in December 2023, all EV subsidies ended after a ruling on the Climate and Transformation Fund. In FY2024, electric car and SUV sales in India jumped 90% to over 90,000 units.

Lately, it sells 3 top rate EVs – 001 taking pictures brake, 009 MPV (minivan), and the original member of Zeekr’s population – the compact SUV Zeekr X. They create PHEVs and in addition ICEs. YangWang was once introduced in January 2023, and the primary automobile – hardcore off-road SUV U8 – will get started deliveries in September.
