Chart and Ground Force Worldwide (GFW) have launched of the first dual LNG/diesel fueling truck, designed and built for a large rock quarry customer in Florida. The customer is using the vehicle as a fueling solution for their recently converted fleet of haul trucks, which were retro-fitted with LNG conversions.

The new units are anticipated to deliver fuel efficiency over a conventional truck of up to 50% annually, depending upon the use of the truck. The hybrid digger derrick was funded in part by a $4-million award ComEd received in federal economic stimulus funding to expand its alternative-fuel fleet. Manufactured by DUECO, Inc.
