Today BYD employs 130,000 people in 11 factories, eight in China and one each in India, Hungary, and Romania. Near the end of our conversation, I ask Wang about the company name. Wang signed an agreement last year with Autobinck, a Dutch dealer group, to distribute its cars in the Netherlands and five Eastern European countries.
