In the process, I got some two-conductor wire to make the connections to the potbox switch and backup-light switch cleaner. On a more dangerous note, I ordered my 18 USBatt 8-v golf-cart batteries from American Battery company in California. Here's the somewhat finished potbox.

I’ve touted the Eli ZERO several times in this article, largely because it’s fresh in the news (I’m not connected to the company, and I have no financial incentive – I just like the thing).

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. The fact that no journalists do their research to bring up all those connections is sad, sad. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart.
