Mitsubishi is reportedly discontinuing the Mirage by 2025. sales of the Mirage four-door hatchback and sedan to make way more crossovers and EVs. But the days of a $13,000 economy car are over.

Mitsubishi Australia has announced it has launched a new case study that could open the door to the introduction of a new category of electric cars that could cost around $10,000 less than Australia’s current cheapest EV. It’s not the first time Mitsubishi has experimented with low-cost EVs.
