Green Car Congress
SEPTEMBER 20, 2012
GE’s Durathon battery technology works by employing sodium chemistry to capture excess energy from the diesel fuel generators. This costs an average of $20,000 to $30,000 per site and adds more than 50 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere per year. —Prescott Logan, General Manager, GE Energy Storage.
