Scientist have confirmed that unlike gasoline cars, plug-ins will get cleaner as they get older -- because our power grid is getting cleaner. But theyve needed definitive proof that PHEVs wont increase pollution. This means the more maintenance-free electrical systems of PHEVs offset the initial higher cost of batteries.

It is aggressively in talks with Portland General Electric Plug-In Charging Stations , ( POR ) and other states including Michigan, and California that are scrambling to offer incentives. The electricity for recharging has to come from somewhere, which means power plants. Oh, but theres that nasty carbon based fuel again.
