In a test by Car and Driver magazine, the car exploded to 60 mph in 2.0 seconds, breaking a seven-year-old record for production cars that had been set by the roughly $ 1 million Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid. The SF90 also holds the lap record for production cars on the road course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The reason theyre starting with high priced sports cars is because aiming at that market is the easiest way for them to fund R&D and scale up production so they can make smaller more practical EVs for the masses.
