CalCars supports conversion programs as a strategy to increase awareness and support for PHEVs and thereby motivate automakers to build production PHEVs. We will have similar solutions available for better (but more expensive) nickel-metal hydride or lithium-ion batteries.) We believe both NiMH and Li-Ion are ready.

That’s certainly the case here in Torrance, California where I live and work. We’ve now got some Mo going with: California solar loan financing that will eliminate the big up front cost of solar. Most have no idea. The good news is that positive things ARE happening and our efforts are starting to make a difference.
