We spent our last installment reviewing the special and sometimes troublesome engineering that was standard on the Brougham. The grille had circular bullet type protrusions from the intersections of the grille vanes, and was a more subtle take on Buick’s Fashion-Aire Dynastar grille.

All Cadillacs breathed easier via a new dual exhaust in 1957. There was also a new intake manifold, exhaust manifold, a higher output alternator, a larger radiator, starter motor, and finally a new location for the battery so it didn’t get so hot. We’ll pick up next time with a review of the Eldorado’s new exterior styling for 1957.

We are familiar with this engine as it was in the 2021 Genesis GV80 we reviewed earlier. The dual level, horizontal LED tail lights wrap from the fender to the hands-free power lift gate, and sit above the lower fascia that features dual round exhaust ports and a continuation of the cross-hatch design. Managed by the large wheel on the center console, selecting one of the modes integrates specific driving dynamics that affect the throttle response, steering, suspension dampers, and the exhaust note. LED tail lights and twin, round chrome exhaust tips on the outer edges of the fascia completed the rear design. Interior: Quiet Comfort.
