All Cadillacs breathed easier via a new dual exhaust in 1957. There was also a new intake manifold, exhaust manifold, a higher output alternator, a larger radiator, starter motor, and finally a new location for the battery so it didn’t get so hot. We’ll pick up next time with a review of the Eldorado’s new exterior styling for 1957.

We are familiar with this engine as it was in the 2021 Genesis GV80 we reviewed earlier. The two-line horizontal LED head and daytime running lights wrap onto the fenders, sit above functioning corner vents, which along with the narrow black grille in the lower fascia, continue the cross-hatch design of the upper grille.

With this success you had better bet folks at Acura were careful when doing a light restyle for the 2022 RDX, with a refresh of the exterior, interior and suspension plus added standard technology. LED tail lights and twin, round chrome exhaust tips on the outer edges of the fascia completed the rear design. Turbo Power.

Swedeish design elements The correctly sized grille is bordered by LED headlamps with a distinctive lighting pattern of a horizontal elongated “T”. The rear fascia and bumper are body color, and the exhaust tips are tucked underneath. The rear gets vertical LED taillights that run from the built-in roof spoiler to the rear fender.

The narrow LED head, daytime running, fog and tail lights allowed the designers to take up as little real estate as possible, making for a sleek look. The redesigned grille with LED accent lighting is not overly large, but the Mazda badge is probably the largest on any in the company’s line-up. Road Test: 2018 Buick Enclave.
