Jo has done an excellent job of "pimping" the ride, the original kit from Blue Sky Designs in Oregon. Jerry is the owner of a PHEV Prius with Plug in Supply conversion kit, plus solar panels on the roof installed by Bob Bruninga, Naval Academy engineering professor. It also has floor brakes and accelerator. 6000+ miles.

With the cruise control on, managed to have a lovely conversation with Karthik on Jared Diamond’s excellent book Guns, Germs and Steel. (In The womenfolk created some sewing kits and embroidery frames. Our booking was mistakenly done for the same day checkout. It’s a Zen feeling. We met with Capt Arvind over there.

If you build a car as a "kit car" with no real factory, then yes, it will never be an economic success. A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator.
