The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers (Auto Alliance) is strongly supporting the passage of Maryland’s SB 1234 , a bill that would require the State of Maryland to purchase zero emission vehicles (ZEVs) for state fleets. BMW and Nissan are partnering to offer public DC Fast charging at 120 locations across 19 states in an effort to support Nissan LEAF and BMW i3 customers and to promote increased adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) nationwide. Additionally, these chargers are compatible with the Nissan EZ-Charge cards.

BMW and Nissan have again joined forces—this time with EVgo, the nation’s largest public DC Fast charging network—to increase public access to DC Fast charging stations across the US. This latest expansion builds on the 120 dual-port DC Fast chargers that BMW and Nissan announced together in December 2015.

The United States Department of Transportation has funneled $623 million in grants into efforts to expand the electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the country as EVs are becoming more popular. The grants will help build EV charging stations in 22 states and Puerto Rico, a U.S. percent of the total U.S. vehicle market share.
