A mild hybrid has an electric motor that provides efficiency for the main gasoline engine by allowing the engine to be turned off whenever the car is coasting, braking or stopped, then quickly restarted once power is required. A big difference between a hybrid and mild hybrid is the latter does not have an electric-only mode of propulsion.

We spent a week in the smallest Genesis sedan that is designed to take-on the BMW 3-series and Mercedes-Benz C-class sports sedans and found it was a lot of well-engineered car for the money.
