Alkegen begins commercial production of silicon anode material SiFAB in Indiana

SiFAB is a drop-in solution for existing electrode formulations and mixing equipment; it can be mixed into anode slurry with existing battery manufacturing processes. NREL report finds electrified heavy-duty vehicle powertrains could provide lower total cost of ownership than diesel under certain conditions

DOE labs study on costs and benefits of new transportation technologies the most comprehensive to date

The report covers light-duty passenger vehicles as well as medium-/heavy-duty commercial vehicles: semi-tractors; medium-duty vans and pickups; transit buses; box, utility aerial and dump trucks; and garbage trucks. The study finds, for example, that battery electric vehicles have maintenance costs 40% lower than ICE vehicles.
