And I’m one those million since they’re counting plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) as well as full battery electrics. California’s plug-in vehicle sales tally is impressive: 663,014 battery electrics (62.9%). The number of EVs in my neighborhood seems to be growing weekly. California’s the First State to Hit One Million EVs.

The intent of this provision is clear as President Biden and lawmakers in Congress have stated their concerns over China taking the lead in the production of electric vehicles, batteries, and autonomous vehicle technology. Currently only the Polestar 2 and Volvo S90 T8 PHEV are being produced in China for sale in the US.

Alternatively, may we suggest the sound of the neighborhood ice cream truck? If the hybrids engine starts operating, at higher speeds or throttle demands or lower battery levels, the control system automatically stops the external synthesis.
