This new company, Bright Automotive , is founded by ex-GM EV1 people, and the super efficient Rocky Mountain Institute to make plug-in hybrids in Indiana. Think Tank’s Plug-In Car: Aerodynamics Are Key. How can you quickly improve the performance of the battery in an electric car? I’m still not convinced.

But Frank’s worried about how much the batteries cost and how much they weigh, and how much room they take up in the trunk. Maybe Frank’s just not that into batteries. Maybe Frank is in the dark on those.
