A chemical engineer from the University of Houston is leading a $2.1-million Engineers from Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles Inc. The challenge is to achieve high NO x conversion with minimal fuel penalty while sustaining long catalyst life. and Johnson Matthey Inc. also will be involved in the project.
