All electric motors used by Audi are liquid-cooled, so as to maintain their reliable operating temperature of at most 180 °C (356 °F). A pulse-controlled inverter transforms the DC to AC voltage as required by the electric motor. The interior of the power electronics attains temperatures considerably higher than 100°C (212 °F).

Posted by: Bob F | Apr 13, 2009 9:42:47 PM Despite factual errors and oversights in this article, you still make an excellent point. when they were forced to put NIHM batteries in the range was 150 miles. 150 miles is fine more. and so what I tend to like to drive more than 150 miles. So is the management in Washinton DC.
