The company displayed a plug-in hybrid crossover concept vehicle, called the PX-MiEV, at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2009. In the United States, Mitsubishi will begin to roll out a larger variant of the MiEV, carrying a MiEV-i moniker, as a 2012 model in California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawai’i this November.
