A survey commissioned by the electric vehicle maker Polestar has found 34 per cent of Australian drivers support a ban on petrol and diesel cars by 2030. The government will issue a discussion paper on emissions strategy for auto industry comment and response this month. The European Union recently signed up to a 2035 ICE ban.

Overall auto market volume growth came on the back of sales growth of HEVs, BEVs, and Petrols. BEVs grew volume by 14.7%, and Petrols by 8.9%. All are compelling vehicles, already very popular in their home market of South Korea. What are your thoughts on Germany’s auto industry outlook in the months ahead?
