Firstly, the Mercedes-AMG EQE53 is as ferociously quick as the company’s ICE-powered super-sedan equivalent, the famously fire-breathing E63 S, which uses a twin-turbo V8 to do its thing. Secondly, the EV is in some ways and on some days much better to drive. Rain is lashing down on the Vosges Mountains near France’s border with Germany.
