We have all heard about Tesla’s Nevada facility that will at full capacity produce enough batteries to power 500,000 electric cars per year by 2020. there is already one gigafactory—Tesla’s, in Nevada—operating. Brine-based lithium production in the country is concentrated in one place only, at least for now, and this place is Nevada.
