The 2023 Kia Niro hybrid is the class leader in fuel economy. liter 4-cylinder engine coupled to a 32-kW electric motor that puts out 139 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque, driving the front wheels through a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Stopping was through four-wheel electric-boosted anti-lock brakes.
