The need to transition off of gas- and diesel-powered fuels is clear if we want to reduce pollution, carbon omissions, and lessen the impact of cars on climate change. All new non-commercial vehicles that are below a certain MPG or other efficiency standard should have a significant tax that increases for each MPG under the threshold.
