I met with Preeti Gupta, a freelancer with the BBC. A little bird tells me that the original Etergo design called for an aluminium battery case. But portability in the Etergo design made them go in for lighter plastic. With the current design being a fixed pack, Ola folks can relook the aluminium option.

Sure, if you need to make lots of long trips in a car, and can only afford to have one car, then probably a Tesla’s not for you. Take for instance the grossly-oversized wheels: a more aerodynamic design would use smaller ones, to minimize turbulence around the opening. Where is affordable. It’s called aerodynamics.
