In 240 miles driving around Southern California we averaged 23 mpg, but in a 100-mile run with the adaptive cruise control set at 65 mph, we averaged 31.2 ZR is a speed rating, which in this case means the tire can handle speeds surpassing 150 mph. Zero-to-60 mph times were right around 5.0 mpg, exceeding the EPA figure.

With a fully charged battery, the XC60 Recharge can go 36 miles on pure electricity (speed-limited to about 80 mph) and has a 63 MPGe rating. After cruising through Southern California I came away appreciating what $127,300 gets you, which is a lot. In 274 miles of driving through Southern California and using the air conditioning at most times, we averaged 27 mpg, but on a 150-mile all-freeway run using the adaptive cruise control set to 65 mph, we averaged 32.8

In 386 miles driving through Southern California, aided by the start/stop (where the engine shuts off when not needed), we averaged 23.7 Where we did much better was on a 102-mile freeway run in either Eco or Smart mode and with the adaptive cruise control set at 65 mph, we achieved 27.5 Ready to take its place among the premium crowd.
