From December 2020 to July 2021, used Tesla Model 3 prices have increased. For example, the residual value of a Model 3 Standard Range Plus in December 2020 was estimated to be around £9,005.71 ($12,475.87). Tesla priced the Model 3 Long Range at £46,990 ($65,096.63) and the Model 3 Performance at £56,990 ($78,949.92) in December 2020.

The average fuel economy of new light duty vehicles bought in the USA leapt from October 2007 to April 2009 from 20.2mpg to 21.3mpg. According to Michigan’s Transportation Research Institute, both the unemployment rate and the cost of petrol influenced buyers’ decisions with regards to the fuel economy of their vehicles.

Ecoboost is a petrol engine technology that gets more out of the same engine. At Ford we have recently announced an electric Ford Focus will be available in the USA during 2011 and if all goes well I wouldn’t be surprised to see a similar announcement for Europe but we aren’t sure yet. The first stage is where we’re at right now.
