Connexxion orders 20 Solaris hydrogen buses for South Holland

The Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen buses use a set of fuel cells with a power of 70 kW. The compressed hydrogen is stored in 5 new-generation tanks placed on the bus roof. The bus is also fitted with a Solaris High Power battery which acts as an additional electric power storage facility.

Toshiba supplying H2-based energy supply system to Tohoku Electric Power; evaluating H2 for overcoming fluctuations from renewables

Various solutions are being investigated, and Tohoku Electric decided to use Toshiba’s H2One starting March 2017. The H2One system uses renewable energy to produce hydrogen via electrolysis, as well as for charging a battery-based energy storage system.
