The hulls of these vessels will be built at Vard Tulcea in Romania and outfitted at Vard Søviknes in Norway. The other two vessels, of VARD 3 16 design, will be delivered from Vard Promar in Brazil, in 4Q 2016 and 2Q 2017 respectively. Delivery of the PLSVs is scheduled for 2016-2017.

Volkswagen announced the incubator program at CeBIT 2017 in Hanover earlier this year. Over the course of eight hours, 14 entrepreneurial companies from Romania, Spain and Germany presented themselves in 30‑minute sessions in front of eight judges. At the end of 2017 and start of 2018, more teams will move into the factory.
