ARTS Energy will now have access to Hunan Copower 33600 NiMH cells. A survey by Harris Interactive for Automoto, conducted between the 21-31 August 2017 with 1,002 French drivers found that 72% said their first choice would be now to drive a hybrid car, instead of a diesel or gasoline car and even a full electric car.

In its new ten-year market outlook to 2027, Roskill, a leading provider of international metals and minerals research, forecasts primary nickel consumption to rise by just under 4% per year between 2017 and 2027, driven by increased consumption by stainless steel producers and by growth in demand in the automotive battery sector.

Although NiMH batteries will remain entrenched in certain segments through 2015, the Roland Berger analysts see continued penetration of the Li-ion technology. From 2016/2017 one or two other companies will join the ranks of the top players, controlling 80-90% of the market.
