The greatest challenge is the same as that which is plaguing the adoption of fuel cells in the automotive market—the buildout of low-cost green hydrogen infrastructure. A smaller minority—Toyota, Hyundai, and Nikola—have chosen to focus their efforts on fuel cell trucks as the powertrain of the future.
