The SmartFuel fueling station is capable of providing 40 kg of hydrogen per day, enabling a fleet of 50 vehicles to be fueled. Air Products has signed a letter of intent (LoI) with the Clean Energy Partnership in Berlin, and the plan aims to extend the existing infrastructure up to 50 fueling stations by 2015.

Further promoting this market is the recent establishment of a new federal Energy Department public-private partnership effort called H2USA, which includes Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz and Honda. The district will be able to reduce fleet travel by an estimated 16,000 miles per year because it won''t have to rely on off-campus fueling.
