Zipcar has introduced a 2014 Honda Fit battery electric vehicle (EV) at The University of California, Davis’ (UC Davis) West Village , the largest planned zero net energy community in the United States. Honda’s 2014 Fit EV, based on the popular five-passenger Fit, is rated at a combined fuel economy of 118 MPGe.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has rated Ford’s 2014 1.0L The fuel economy rating outperforms some competitors’ diesels and hybrids on the highway driving cycle. As an example, the 2014 Honda Insight achieves 44 mpg highway, while the 2014 Volkswagen Golf diesel with a manual transmission delivers 42 mpg highway.
