The 2010 HS 250h, Lexus’ first dedicated hybrid and the fourth offering in its lineup ( earlier post ), will carry an MSRP for the standard version of $34,200, while the Premium model will carry an MSRP of $36,970. The HS 250h has the best combined EPA mpg rating of any luxury vehicle in the US.

Audi announced pricing for the 2010 A3 TDI, its second US clean diesel offering launched this year. Expected to begin arriving at US dealers in late November 2009, the 50-state certified A3 TDI delivers 42 mpg US (5.6 The standard version HS 250h will have an MSRP of $34,200, while the Premium model will carry an MSRP of $36,970.

Lincoln’s premium hybrid is expected to deliver at least 41 mpg US (5.7 Ford notes that the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid’s projected fuel economy tops its nearest competitor—the 2010 Lexus HS 250h—by 6 mpg, while providing room for one more passenger and more standard luxury and segment-exclusive safety features.

Lincoln’s 2011 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid ( earlier post ) now officially carries an EPA-certified 41 mpg rating in city driving and 36 mpg on the highway, making it the officially the most fuel-efficient luxury sedan in the US. It tops its nearest competitor—the 2010 Lexus HS 250h—by 6 mpg.
