2010 Fisker Karma: 67 MPG AND 0-to-62-mph In Under 6 Seconds

The 2010 Fisker Karma will be the world's first production series hybrid , or extended-range electric vehicle, when it comes off the line late this year. Customer deliveries will start next May. GM Europe Premieres Opel Ampera,Chevrolet Spark at Geneva Show

The Ampera goes on sale in Europe in 2011, the Spark in early 2010. The Ampera is an extended range electric vehicle based on the Voltec technology used in the Chevrolet Volt. Equipped with a 16 kWh Li-ion battery pack, the five-door, four-seat hatchback has a battery-powered range of up to 60 km (37 miles) (MVEG cycle).

BYD reports plug-in fleet test results; rapid charging not diminishing capacity

50 of BYD’s e6, five-seat crossover vehicles, each with a range of more than 160 miles (300 km) and a top speed of 88 mph (140 km/h), have been in service at Shenzhen-based Pengcheng Electric Taxi Company since 29 April 2010. The fleet is achieving an equivalent of 88 mpg (2.67 million kg) of carbon-dioxide.
