is hoping to launch the Volt in late 2010 with a price tag of about $40,000. So what I see is that even if GM could sell its Volt platform vehicles in 2010 and at HALF its expected pricing, it would only leave it in with a pack of at least 4 other major players and all selling hybrid models much cheaper than GM.

According to Nissan, the company plans to introduce its upcoming electric car in Oregon in late 2010. At a press event on Monday, Oregon’s governor, Ted Kulongoski, was talking up Nissan’s previously announced partnership with the state.
