At the North American International Auto Show in January 2009, Chrysler had introduced two new EV concepts and updates on three earlier EV concepts developed by the ENVI group. In April 2009, Chrysler unveiled four all-electric Chrysler Town & Country minivan concepts to the US Postal Service (USPS) in Washington, DC.

(A California-based Coulomb Technologies makes the program’s ChargePoint chargers, which were shipped to 130 customers in 2009. The ChargePoint America program's Chargers are made by Coulomb Technologies. A $2,000 value!).

Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) presented the preproduction plug-in all-electric walk-in van (WIV) chassis at the 2010 National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) Work Truck Show. FCCC initiated our all-electric project well before stimulus money and federal grants were available for alternative-power transportation projects.
