They are early adopters, buying "Version 1.0" PHEVs with "Good Enough to Get Started" batteries. So far, most start as hybrids.

First Escape PHEV delivered to SCE Nov 2007; 20 in 2008-2009. todays answer is "Yes -- but not yet." Batteries not ready. Has shown some concept fuel-cell PHEVs.

Posted by: GSP | Apr 14, 2009 9:07:50 AM Funny, BYD (chinese) already came out with their version of the volt this year. Is it worth it to the American taxpayers to ensure that this particular electric car comes to market? GM cant do it but a 15 year old chinese car company can.now thats funny!
