Rapid economic growth, growing mobility, increasing purchasing power, and rising demand for goods have made China one of the fastest growing—and one of the largest—auto markets in the world. From 1990 to 2007, the total number of registered civil-use vehicles in China grew from 5.5 million to 57 million (not including motorcycles).

Ill never purchase one again, no matter what the mpgs. Yes GM will lose $ on the Volt, just like the first Insights or Priuss, but unlike Toyota or Honda, they just cant afford to wait for it to catch on and become profitable. should be illegal for companies to purchase patents for the purpose of blocking technology.
