An intelligent vehicle-to-grid communications and control system for its plug-in hybrid electric vehicles that “talks” directly with the nation’s electric grid has been unveiled today courtesy of carmaker, Ford. The first of the specially equipped plug-in hybrids has been delivered to American Electric Power of Columbus, Ohio.

After joining the Tokyo Institute of Technology as a professor of computer science in 1997, he became dean of its graduate school of information science and engineering in 2007. He left in 1973 to serve as chief scientist of the defense systems group at TRW (now part of Northrop Grumman ), an automotive and aerospace company, in Euclid, Ohio.

The good news is that positive things ARE happening and our efforts are starting to make a difference. With the coming solar feed-in tariff legislation moving through Sacramento that will pay us for the extra solar energy we produce and feed back into the grid. It’s a classic win/win/win.
