(ABAT), a developer, manufacturer and distributor of rechargeable Polymer Lithium-Ion (PLI) batteries and Wuxi Angell Autocycle Co., Ltd unveiled three hybrid motorcycles at the Dealer Expo 2009, 13-16 February, in Indianapolis, IN. Wuxi Angell sold 50,000 and 70,000 electric bikes in 2006 and 2007 respectively.

The battery pack is comprised of 5,088 lithium-ion cells for a cummulative 35kWhrs of energy storage. These specifications sound strikingly similar to the electric drive and energy storage system found in the very impressive AC Propulsion eBox electric vehicles which also sport a 5,088 lithium-ion cell battery with 35kWhrs of capacity.
