The lithium-ion battery comprises 168 prismatic cells and is liquid-cooled. Its emphasis is on lithium-ion battery systems, which are put together using a flexible, modular concept. In China and Japan, where other standards already exist (GB/T and CHAdeMO, respectively), country-specific requirements will be accommodated.
