SGMW’s sales in the first nine months of 2011 were up 6.6% Monthly sales of the Wuling Hong Guang compact MPV, which was launched a year ago, have averaged more than 20,000 units. SGMW has continued to grow its export sales as well, reaching its full-year target by the end of September. It is based in Liuzhou, Guangxi.

SGMW, a joint venture between GM China, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation Group (SAIC) and Wuling Motors, was established in 2002. In 2010, SGMW had record domestic sales of 1,226,860 vehicles.

SGMW’s new passenger vehicle sales and distribution network will be built based on its existing network, incorporating new distributors and elements of the current structure. SAIC-GM-Wuling, a joint venture between GM China, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation Group (SAIC) and Wuling Motors, was launched in 2002.
