Hyundai Motor America and Kia Motors America will reduce their fuel economy (mpg) ratings for a number of 2011-13 model year models in showrooms after EPA testing found discrepancies between agency results and data submitted by the company. Nissan estimates—based on the findings of AR4—that the CO 2 emissions of all new vehicles in 2050 would need to be reduced by 90% compared to the 2000 level. Based on this scenario, Nissan will conduct a review of its road map for CO 2 emissions reduction of new vehicles and reflect it in the next mid-term environmental action plan.
