By the end of the 1980s, it had split into the Small Aral Sea (north), located in Kazakhstan, and the horse-shoe shaped Large Aral Sea (south), shared by Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. EIA Estimates 2.1% Growth in Fossil Fuel CO2 Emissions in US in 2010; Still Below 1999-2008 Levels

The largest source of growth in 2010 is the United States, followed by Brazil, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan. Distillate stocks normally build during the summer season in preparation for winter heating demand. Offsetting this projected supply growth in 2010 are further declines in mature fields in Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Norway.
