The US Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing a significant revision in its procedures for calculating a value for the petroleum-equivalent fuel economy of EVs for use in the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) program administered by the Department of Transportation (DOT). DOE published a final rule on 12 June 2000.

Dean Murdoch, former Sierra Club Victoria Group president told the website. Since then Canada has displayed a mixed approached to alternative fuel vehicles. Sadly just three members of the district council voted in favour of the electric cars.

There was a nice selection of books, especially guides to the flora and fauna of the High Sierras. I pulled an old issue of Sierra (the magazine of the Sierra Club) from July/August 1997. We also found magazines ( Utne Reader anyone?) CDs and Blueray DVD movies and documentaries. Too few people give a shit about that title. .
