This two-way split (passenger cell and drive frame) is reflected in the design of the BMW i3—both the exterior and interior make a feature of this structural characteristic through the visible layering and intertwining of different surfaces. The high-voltage battery also benefits from the deformation properties of the CFRP Life module.
