A study by researchers at Iowa State University has determined that the automotive industry has a very large potential to utilize biobased materials. Biobased materials may require substantial testing to ensure safety standards can be met. Soy-foam headliners were put in place for the 2010 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner.
